Front alternative

TriageFlow vs Front

Both tools turn email chaos into a shared, collaborative inbox. The difference is what you pay for, what AI does for you, and how the price scales as your team grows. Here's the honest comparison.

Pricing data verified May 2026 against the public pricing pages of both products.

The 30-second verdict

Choose TriageFlow if…

  • Your team works primarily in email and you don't need SMS, social, or voice in one inbox.
  • You want AI to triage, draft, and summarize out of the box — not as a paid add-on.
  • You'd rather pay a flat monthly price than per seat. Adding teammates shouldn't make your bill jump.
  • You're a small or mid-size team (2–30 people) and want simple, fast onboarding.

Choose Front if…

  • You need real omnichannel: email, SMS, social, voice, and chat in one queue.
  • You're already running mature collaboration workflows (macros, SLAs, custom roles, multiple workspaces) and don't want to rebuild them.
  • You need an integrated knowledge base, multi-language docs, or advanced enterprise compliance.
  • Your team is large enough that per-seat pricing still works in your budget.

Both are good products. The right answer is the one that fits how your team actually works.

Pricing

What you'll actually pay

Front charges per seat. TriageFlow charges a flat monthly fee with unlimited users. Here's what that looks like for typical team sizes.

Team size Front Starter ($25/seat/mo) Front Professional ($65/seat/mo) TriageFlow (plan depends on volume*)
5 people $125/mo
+ Copilot $100 = $225 with AI
$325/mo
+ Copilot $100 = $425 with AI
$49/mo
Standard plan, AI included
10 people $250/mo
+ Copilot $200 = $450 with AI
$650/mo
+ Copilot $200 = $850 with AI
$49/mo
Standard plan, AI included
20 people Not available (Starter capped at 10 seats) $1,300/mo
+ Copilot $400 = $1,700 with AI
$199/mo
Premium plan, AI included
30 people Not available (Starter capped at 10 seats) $1,950/mo
+ Copilot $600 = $2,550 with AI
$199/mo
Premium plan, AI included

Front prices billed annually, per seat, from front.com/pricing (May 2026). "With AI" lines add Front Copilot ($20/seat/mo) for AI parity with TriageFlow (triage, drafts, summaries). Smart QA ($20/seat) and Smart CSAT ($10/seat) are extra. All AI features are bundled into Enterprise ($105/seat/mo). *TriageFlow plan choice is by email volume, not team size: Standard ($49/mo) covers 500 emails, Premium ($199/mo) covers 2,500, Enterprise ($1,499/mo) covers 25,000. AI is included on every tier — pick the plan that matches your inbound volume. Full pricing.

Why the gap? The split opens immediately, not at scale. A 5-person team on Front Pro with Copilot for AI parity is $425/mo; the same team on TriageFlow Standard is $49/mo — a ~9× gap on day one. By 30 people the gap widens to ~13× ($2,550 vs $199). We can hold flat because AI does most of the per-message work, so headcount doesn't drive our cost — volume does.

Where Front is fairer: at exactly 1 seat without any AI, Front Starter ($25) undercuts TriageFlow Standard ($49). From the second seat on, even without AI, the math flips. And Front's higher tiers include channels TriageFlow doesn't: SMS, social, voice. Per-seat pricing isn't bad in itself — it just stops working as soon as your team grows or you want AI.

Where TriageFlow is the better pick

Predictable cost as you grow

Adding the 6th, 12th, or 25th teammate doesn't change your bill. Front goes up by $25 to $105 every time.

AI is the default, not an upsell

Triage, drafts, and summaries work on every plan. With Front, the equivalent features sit behind paid add-ons or the Enterprise tier.

Faster to set up

If your team only needs a shared email inbox done well, you don't have to configure channels, knowledge bases, or SSO before you can use it.

Where Front is the better pick

We're not going to pretend TriageFlow wins everywhere. Front has a head start in places that genuinely matter.

Real omnichannel

If your team handles SMS, WhatsApp, social DMs, or voice alongside email, Front consolidates them in one queue. TriageFlow only does email.

Built-in knowledge base

Front includes a no-code knowledge base, with multi-language support on higher tiers. We don't have one.

Mature enterprise tooling

Custom roles, multiple workspaces, SCIM, advanced macros, deep API. If you're 100+ people with strict governance, Front is more battle-tested.

Three teams, three answers

Scenario 1

A 6-person ops team handling support@ and partnerships@

Email-only, no SMS or voice. Wants AI to triage and draft. Doesn't want to think about per-seat math when hiring two more people next quarter.

→ TriageFlow. $49–$199/mo flat (Standard or Premium, by volume), AI included, no seat-counting.

Scenario 2

A 40-agent customer ops team running email + SMS + social DMs

Needs all channels in one queue, mature SLA tracking, knowledge base, custom roles. Has the budget to pay per seat.

→ Front. The omnichannel and enterprise tooling earn their price.

Scenario 3

A 15-person agency growing to 30 over the next year

Email-driven (clients prefer email), wants AI summaries and draft replies, hates the idea of their tooling cost doubling as they double the team.

→ TriageFlow. The flat-fee math is the entire point.

Frequently asked

Can TriageFlow import my Front data?

If your team is on Front today and you want to migrate, get in touch. Most data lives in your email provider (Gmail, Microsoft 365) anyway, so the bigger question is recreating your rules and tags — we'll help you do that.

Does TriageFlow really include AI on every plan?

Yes. AI triage, draft replies, and thread summaries work on Standard, Premium, and Enterprise. Higher tiers cover more email volume, not more AI features.

Is Front a bad product?

No, it's a good one. It's been in the market for over a decade and has a deep feature set, especially for omnichannel and enterprise teams. We're a different bet: AI-first, email-only, flat pricing. If that fits how your team works, we're the better choice. If not, Front earns its price.

What's the catch with flat pricing?

The cap is email volume, not headcount. Standard ($49/mo) covers 500 emails/month, Premium ($199/mo) covers 2,500, Enterprise ($1,499/mo) covers 25,000. Most small teams sit in Standard; mid-size teams in Premium. If your inbound volume grows, the next tier covers it — still without per-seat math.
